The project
Galley kitchens get a bad reputation, but a chef will tell you the line in most restaurants is a galley. We kept the footprint, upgraded to full-depth drawer bases, added a 30-inch stainless prep zone beside the range with a knife rail and landing space, and replaced a bulkhead cabinet with an appliance garage.
Matte slab-front cabinetry, butcher block on the prep run, quartz everywhere else. Total build time: four weeks.
