The project
Most outdoor kitchens are a grill on an island of pavers. This one is a working station: 36-inch built-in grill with an actual insulated jacket and vent hood under the covered roof, sealed stainless cabinetry, a refrigerator rated for outdoor swings, and task lighting so cooking after sunset isn't guesswork.
The counter wraps so the cook faces the seating — the same rule we use for islands inside. Nobody wants to host with their back to the party.
